Sustainable Future

In this time of troubling economic news at home and abroad and increasing corporate greenwashing claims it is easy to lose sight of what remains solid and worthy of trust. We have seen great challenges before but we, as individuals, do not always think we have the tools to solve problems. Leveraging our country's human scientific resources- encouraging research, private-public partnerships, technology transfer, and transparency in environmental performance would give us the tools we need. I have seen increasing signs that our nation is headed in that direction. Applying science and innovation to the troubling problems of energy and environment will eventually evolve the technologies future generations need to survive as a species.
